Overview

Are you interested in progressive politics? Do you wonder what it would be like to work in politics first-hand? Are you looking for a unique opportunity to make a difference in your community and your country? This is the internship for you!

The Summer Leadership Program (SLP) is a unique political internship opportunity that invests in the success of youth in this country. SLP gives young people across the country vital job experience serving in the offices of our Members of Parliament, Ministers, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Liberal Research Bureau.

The SLP 2023 internship is a diverse and fast-paced work experience that has been designed to encourage participants to develop learning objectives that are structured into the program and guided by supervising political staff. The aim of the program is to balance the participants’ learning experience with the goals and responsibilities of the Liberal Member of Parliament that you will be working with. Although each office will have a slightly different job description, we are committed to providing participants with a meaningful learning experience where they will be able to learn, grow, and connect virtually and alongside political staff and other emerging young leaders.
